Professor John Curtice
John Curtice is Professor of Politics at Strathclyde University, Senior Research Fellow at NatCen, and Chief Commentator on the What UK Thinks: EU and What Scotland Thinks websites.
His UK in a Changing Europe fellowship project is on how public opinion evolves in the wake of the substantial public policy challenges that are being faced by the United Kingdom as it attempts to implement and take advantage of Brexit, while at the same time dealing with the legacy of the pandemic and the impact of the Ukraine crisis. It focuses on whether Brexit is regarded as a success or failure, how the public want the policy options afforded by Brexit to be exercised, the extent to which the cultural/value divides associated with Brexit continue to shape electoral choices, and the long-term impact of Brexit on attitudes towards the Union.
