The authoritative source for independent research on UK-EU relations

Union

This project examines the effects of Brexit on devolution and multi-level government. It focuses on three policy fields where devolved competence and EU competence have overlapped: agriculture, the environment/energy, and justice & home affairs.

The study explores whether UK common frameworks are necessary in these policy areas to replace EU frameworks, and how these might be developed. It examines the implications of alternative political, legal and financial models under consideration, and will evaluate legislative and intergovernmental processes as they unfold.
