Relationship with the EU

The Irish Centre for European Law and the School of Law in Queen’s University Belfast are delighted to announce a seminar series on the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement and the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement, taking place on 23 March 2021.

The first seminar in the series is entitled “The Architecture of Withdrawal” and will address the relationship of the various measures of UK and EU withdrawal legislation and the status of existing and previous EU law and the continuing role of the CJEU. It will also consider the status of the various agreements in Irish law.

Speakers include:

  • Professor Catherine Barnard, Deputy Director at the UK in a Changing Europe and Professor at Cambridge University
  • Professor David Fennelly, Law Library and Trinity College Dublin
  • Professor Christopher McCrudden of Queen’s University Belfast (chair)
