Policies

With economic growth sluggish and UK business investment levels lagging those of its G7 peers, we’re bringing together an expert panel to examine the UK’s approach to industrial strategy. Does the UK have an industrial strategy? How does it differ from those in the past and those in other countries? Do these differences matter? What is missing in the current approach and how might it be developed to respond to the economic challenges the country currently faces? Where are the big opportunities for the UK economy in the next few years and how might policy be best used to harness them?
