What is the Brexit Steering Group?

This is a group within the EU to coordinate the European Parliament’s involvement in the Brexit talks. It brings together leading figures within the European Parliament, including from five of the political grouping and the chair of the Constitutional Affairs Committee. During the negotiations, the group met with the EU’s chief negotiator Michel Barnier on a regular basis, and it has coordinated the European Parliament’s positions throughout the process.
