What does Brexit mean for EU citizen in the UK?

For the majority of EU citizens residing in the UK on the date of withdrawal – March 30th 2019 – their rights will largely, but not entirely, continue as before, including for work, healthcare, pensions, social welfare, family rights and travel. Family rights, in particular, will be restricted. They will have to apply for the right to remain through a new, “light-touch”, registration system. Should EU citizens leave the UK for more than five years, the UK can revoke their right to residency.
