Who are the DUP?

The Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) is the main unionist party in Northern Ireland. It reached a ‘confidence and supply’ Agreement with the Conservative Party after the June 2017 Westminster elections to provide it with a majority in the House of Commons.

However, on Brexit, the DUP voted against Theresa May’s Withdrawal Agreement three times, and also against the updated agreement reached by Boris Johnson.
