What is the Withdrawal Agreement Bill (WAB)?

This is the implementing bill that gives the Withdrawal Agreement negotiated between the UK and the EU effect in UK law. It gives ministers the powers to implement the measures agreed to protect citizens’ rights, pay the financial settlement and enact the Northern Ireland protocol. The enactment of the bill is a requirement for the Withdrawal Agreement to be ratified (pending approval by the European Parliament as well) to ensure the UK leaves EU with a deal.
