Who are the European People’s Party (EPP)?

The European People’s Party (EPP) are the main centre-right grouping in the European Parliament. Following the 2019 European Parliament elections, the EPP is the largest grouping in the Parliament with 179 seats (out of 751). The EPP has remained the largest grouping in every European election since 1999. Nevertheless, the EPP’s share of seats has gradually fallen, from 37% in 1999 to 24% in 2019.
