Who is Macron?

Emmanuel Macron is the president of France. He was elected in 2017, having formed a new radical centrist political movement, En marche!, prior to the election. He won the first round with only 24% of the vote, but was elected in the second round run-off against the far-right candidate Marine Le Pen. He is a committed Europhile, and as president has proposed further integration measures in the EU.
