Governing UK fisheries after Brexit – lessons from Iceland, Norway and the Faroe Islands
This report examines how independent coastal states outside the EU govern and manage their offshore fisheries in order to help inform policy makers in the UK of the opportunities and challenges of Brexit. The report goes further in assessing how these states and territories engage with European partners to effectively manage their fisheries policy.
The report was written by Dr Craig McAngus, Dr John Connolly and Dr Arno Van der Zwet part of the ‘UK fisheries policy post-Brexit’ research team at The UK in a Changing Europe and Dr Christopher Huggins, Research Fellow at University of West of Scotland.
