Exploring ‘Bregret’: Initial polling results

Seven years on from the EU referendum, it is said that some of those who voted Leave in 2016 are experiencing an ‘itch’, and questioning their choice to leave the European Union.

Together, UK in a Changing Europe and Public First have commissioned a new set of polling to examine this phenomenon further, and explore the complexity that is ‘Bregret’. What do Leave voters make of Brexit so far? Why have some Brexiteers changed their mind? And, for those who think Brexit can be saved, what needs to done?

The initial polling data from our first online survey with Public First can be found below. A full report will be released in summer 2023.
