Who is Christine Lagarde?

Christine Lagarde is the President of the European Central Bank (ECB). She was appointed by EU leaders in November 2019 for an eight-year term. She was previously the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and a French government minister. She has ultimate political responsibility for ensuring price stability in the euro zone.
