Who is João Vale de Almeida?

João Vale de Almeida is the EU’s ambassador to the UK. He was previously the EU’s ambassador to the US and the UN. Prior to that, he was a senior advisor to the former European Commission president José Manuel Barroso. He is an employee of the EU’s External Action Service. The UK delegation is one of more than 140 that the EU has worldwide.
