Catherine Barnard on a future free trade agreement

With just 11 months of transition period awaiting the UK once it leaves the EU on the 31 January, it will be difficult to negotiate a free trade agreement (FTA). Catherine Barnard says she expects the UK to be able to get a pretty thin FTA, covering industrial goods and agri-foods. The EU will likely want concessions from the UK too, most likely on level playing field regulations and fish.
